Mourning Beloveth to get Formless on Feb. 15th
One of Ireland’s longest-running and most brutally depressing bands, death/doom stalwarts Mourning Beloveth, will release their fifth full-length on February 15th because fuck your post-Valentine’s good vibes. Grau Records will release the seven mammoth compositions that comprise Formless on double CD and double LP, and if you dig wallowing in despair and crushing doom riffs, make sure you check it out.
Mourning Beloveth formed in 1992, and have captivated audiences from Kildare to Minnesota (where I saw them in 2007!). Formless is the first album to feature new guitarist Pauric, and their first overall release since their excellent 2009 split with their countrymen in depraved, lightless death/doom troupe Wreck of the Hesperus. Their sound is wreathed in doom and gloom, and Formless showcases their considerable talent quite nicely.
