Cruciamentum’s Imminent Demise
The UK death metal scene has had certain blastbeat enthusiasts in a tizzy for several years now, and, unfortunately, one of its brightest stars is about to go supernova. Cruciamentum are calling it quits – or at least, bowing out of performing live. An official statement from the band explains why:
“Due to guitarist/vocalist D.L. leaving the UK, 2013 will see the final live performances of Cruciamentum including a short tour with Anhedonist across the US between the Maryland Deathfest, and Chaos in Tejas festivals, a final UK performance in London on March 8th with Lvcifyre, followed by a date with Pentacle in Italy on March 9th, concluding with a performance at Hell’s Pleasure festival in Germany. Writing is in the final stages for a MLP released via Nuclear Winter Records, for which details will be announced shortly.”
This is an obvious bummer for a number of reasons (Cruciamentum’s decimating live show being chief amongst them) but hopefully they’ll get their asses into the studio soon, and in the meantime, the members will have time to focus on their other efforts in Grave Miasma, Adorior, Indesinence, Profetus, and the sixteen other bands D. B-H. will undoubtedly join before this gets posted.
Let’s relive the memories with this sick Unartig-filmed footage from their performance at last year’s Martyrdoom Fest in Brooklyn, shall we?
