Scott Ian Burns MetalSucks in Effigy

Scott Ian recently tweeted some photos of himself reenacting a scene from the John Carpenter version of The Thing, with himself standing in for the flamethrower wielding MacReady, and a snowman standing in for The Thing. Which is all well and good — I mean, who amongst us doesn’t sometimes tweet photos of ourselves recreating a favorite scene from a horror movie? — except that this is the poor snowman in queston:

It’s entirely possible Scott wasn’t trying to send us a message (just days after I was pretty hard on Anthrax’s cover of Rush’s “Anthem,” ahem), but Freud would say that he was whether he realized it or not.

So I’d just like to say: TWO CAN PLAY AT THIS GAME, SCOTT! Look at what I just made!!!

NOW SOMEONE GO GET ME MY FLAME THROWER!!!!!
