Decibel Magazine Tour 2013 May Be Even More Awesome Than Decibel Magazine Tour 2012
I was at Decibel‘s 100th Issue Celebration Show this past weekend, and it was unbelievingly awesome (other than the shooting and subsequent police chase we witnessed literally mere seconds after parking across the street from the venue… and the fact that the van in which we arrived was roped off as part of the crime scene… welcome to Philadelphia!). That being said, by the time Pig Destroyer took the stage, I was pretty blitzed. So I have no recollection of this photo being taken, or the following news which I just read on Metal Insider:
“Last night at Decibel Magazine’s 100th Issue Celebration Show in Philadelphia, the lineup for the 2013 Decibel Magazine tour was announced by none other than Tomas Lindberg of At The Gates. Lindberg confirmed that Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, and Immolation would be the lineup for this year’s tour.”
I do remember Lindberg performing with Municipal Waste, so I can confirm that he was there and may very well have made such an announcement. JOURNALISM!
In any case, that line-up is FUCKING RIDICULOUS, almost certainly even more so than the ridiculous line-up Decibel put together for last year’s inaugural edition of the tour. Like, I seriously judge anyone who doesn’t become sexually aroused by the thought of those three bands sharing one bill.
