Second Shortest Break-Up Ever: Maruta are Working on a New Album
Abigail Williams announced their break-up in July of 2012 and their reformation that November. Maruta’s dissolution-and-reunion wasn’t nearly as fast — they announced they were disbanding in November of 2011 — but it’s still pretty goddamn fast.
Not that I’m complaining, mind you! One key difference between Maruta and Abigail Williams is that Maruta doesn’t tongue bathe hog taint. Frankly, I welcome them back to the world with open arms! YAY MARUTA!
Here’s an official statement from the band:
“We swore we were done with making bad life choices back in 2011… but the desire to play music that is too grind for the death metal kids, and too death metal for the grind kids is way too strong. We have decided to get back together and start working on a new record that will eventually see the light of day. We are going to take our time with the new material, and only play off shows here and there until it is complete. Cheers!”
If you skip to six-minute mark of the below video, you can watch the band playing a new song live while opening for Pig Destroyer recently. Sounds promising, fellas!
While we wait for more news, keep up with Maruta on Facebook why doncha?
