Cut Paul McCartney and the Surviving Members of Nirvana Some Slack
I didn’t have very high expectations for “Cut Me Some Slack,” the new song from Paul McCartney, former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, and Nirvana touring member/Foo Fighters guitarist Pat Smear, mostly because when’s the last time Paul McCartney did something cool? But I guess I should never underestimate the power of Dave Grohl (even if he did fail to save Them Crooked Vultures from mediocrity). “Cut Me Some Slack” rocks. Novoselic described the song as “‘Helter Skelter’ meets ‘Scentless Apprentice’,” which ain’t far off. Check it out:
