The Really Seriously Being Serious This Time LAST Completely Unreadable Band Logo of 2012: Win a 7-inch and 12-inch Test Press from Holy Grail!
So I know said last week was going to be the final Completely Unreadable Band Logo of the Week for this year, but then our friends at Prosthetic Records offered us an awesome prize for a contest to be done this week, and far it be from me to deny the MetalSucks readership more chances to get their hands on some killer free stuff. But THIS week, seriously, is the last CUBLOTW for 2012. In fact, the winner won’t be announced until we return from hiatus on January 2.
So, first all: congrats to reader Melissa Nabors and Bruce Williams, both of whom correctly identified last week’s logo as belonging to the band Anus Festival (great name, by the way). Melissa and Bruce each win a copy of Jacob’s Ladder, the new album from Hell Militia. Crank that shit you two!
Second, allow me to get a little off track here and let you know that this week’s prize sponsors, Prosthetic Records, are currently offering a winter sampler for free download from their Facebook page! It features new and unreleased tracks from Holy Grail and Ancient VVisdom, plus songs by Skeletonwitch, Primitive Weapons, Junius, and more. So definitely check it out.
Third, let’s talk about this awesome prize from Prosthetic: not only do we have a copy of the 7″ single for MS faves Holy Grail’s “Dark Passenger,” but we also have a test pressing of the 12″ for the band’s new album, Ride the Void, which comes out January 22. You can order both items here, or, of course, just enter this contest and pray to the gods of metal that you win!
To win, identify the name of the band whose logo appears below, then fill out the form beneath it with your guess and your name and address. From everyone who gets it right, we’ll randomly select a winner, and announce his or her name on January 2.
This week’s logo was suggested by Kindross, and it’s pretty damn hard. Now get squintin’ and try to earn that Holy Grail vinyls!!!
