Wave Hello to the Album Art for Otep’s Hydra

I’m not generally a fan of Otep’s music, but I do like the cover art for her new album, Hydra. It’s not what you’d expect from a record with that title — which is to say, it doesn’t feature an actual hydra on it — and there’s something I like about the suggestion that she’s actually referring to a hand (or maybe even a fist?), not a mythical creature. Hydra comes out January 22 on Victory. In related news, Otep has recently taken to slamming metal websites on her Twitter account. But she hasn’t explicitly named MetalSucks yet. I don’t know if we should be flattered or insulted!
