The Acacia Strain Forced to Drop Off Tour Due to “Serious Van Accident;” Van Wreckage Photo Posted
The Acacia Strain were in a serious van accident earlier today and have dropped off their co-headlining tour with Veil of Maya, which had only just begun this past weekend. The accident occured on the band’s drive between Lancaster, CA (70 miles north of Los Angeles) and Tucson, AZ. The band announced as much via their Facebook page about an hour and a half ago:
It comes with heavy hearts and sadness to announce that The Acacia Strain will be leaving their Co-Headlining tour with Veil Of Maya due to a serious van accident. Members of the band and crew are being treated for minor injuries, nothing serious.
Frontman, Vincent Bennet commented, “Canceling tour dates is something we hate doing but we will make it up to all of you. We are all very grateful to be alive and will see you in the New Year.”
First and foremost, we’re glad everyone in the band and their crew is alive and well; given the wreckage displayed in the above photo (posted half an hour ago via TAC’s Facebook), that’s no small feat:
As you can see, we will not be able to finish our tour with Veil of Maya. We are very sorry and, again, we will make this up to you all. Please support VEIL OF MAYA, Upon A Burning Body, Volumes, and Twitching Tongues on the rest of the tour.
Best of luck to everyone in The Acacia Strain in recovering from their injuries, and to everyone continuing on with the tour for soldiering on.
