Nikki Sixx’s The Heroin Diaries is Coming to Broadway
From Nikki Sixx’s Facebook page:
“Ive been getting asked this a lot lately…The answer is: Yes,”The Heroin Diaries” book is being turned into a broadway play.
“More news to follow in the next few months….Were getting pretty far down the road…We hope for a late 2013 or early 2014 for it to open…”
First of all: you’ve been getting asked that a lot lately by WHO? Who from your fanbase has been like, “Man, I really loved your book, Nikki! No, not the one you wrote with the rest of Mötley Crüe, the one you wrote by yourself! Yeah, it’s awesome! Say, when will that be a Broadway play?” I do not believe that anyone has asked you this. Not for a minute.
Second of all: HOLY SHIT, WHAT?!?
And third of all: I’ll believe this when it happens, or, at the very least, I hear that somebody reputable from the actual world of Broadway is involved. This strikes me as being one of those things that entrepreneurial rock star-types will say once and then we won’t hear about it again for a billion years. Y’know, like The Dirt: The Movie, or Trent Reznor’s Year Zero HBO series, or Gene Simmons’ plan to conquer the moon. Right now, it’s just a pipe dream, and no one should get too excited.
But I am seriously keeping my fingers crossed that Christopher Plummer plays Nikki.
