Thirteen Year-Olds Cover Mayhem

I don’t know who these thirteen-year-olds covering Mayhem’s “Freezing Moon” are, or even what the context of this performance was… but they’re pretty goddamn good, especially given their age. (Of course, black metal isn’t supposed to sound super-glossy, anyway, so they have some leeway.)

One of the guitar players is wearing corpse paint, and the vocalist, who has a plastic scythe, is wearing… something… it doesn’t look like full corpse paint… for a second, I thought it was a Peter Criss-style cat design, too, but that doesn’t look right, either. I dunno, I dunno. I do kinda wonder why they didn’t ALL go for corpse paint, though.
