A Secret Stream
If the bands on the more technical end of Southern Lord’s hardcore cabal are up your alley — think Black Breath, Masakari, Enabler, etc — then today we’ve got a helluva treat for you. Now’s your chance to hear the album that new MetalSucks scribe Andy O’Connor gave a raving 4/5 horns review: The Secret’s new album Agnus Dei is streaming in full at CvltNation.com.
And why wouldn’t those bands be up your alley? If you, metalhead, are like me, then the more hardcore-leaning bands on the “metal” spectrum are usually a bit much for you to digest (or, as it were, more like “not enough” for you to digest). But such is not the case with any of the aforementioned bands, and such is most certainly not the case with The Secret. Their last album Solve et Coagula was a feisty whirlwind of Entombed-style, blackened hardcore n’ roll, and new effort Agnus Dei is more of the same (with a bit of artistic growth, natch). You will like it, I’m pretty sure.
