Exclusive Premiere: Kuolemanlaakso, “Nostos & Algos”

Today we introduce you to Kuolemanlaakso (“Death Valley”), a stomping, death-doom outfit from Finland that’s got Triptykon and Celtic Frost influence oozing out of every orifice. The band originally started out as a one-man project by guitarist Laakso (also of Chaosweaver), but has since grown to include a who’s who of Finnish metal royalty: vocalist Kotamäki (Swallow the Sun, Barren Earth), guitarist Kouta (Chaosweaver, ex-Verjnuarmu), bassist Usva (Elenium, The Nibiruan), and drummer Tiera (Discard, Cult of Endtime).

V. Santura of Triptykon and Dark Fortress co-produced, mixed, mastered and engineered Kuolemanlaakso’s debut album Uljas uusi maailma (”Brave New World”), and contributed guest guitars on five tracks.
