Five Years Later, We Remember Decapitated’s Vitek and Keep Pulling for Covan

Yesterday marked the  five year anniversary of the horrific bus accident that resulted in the death of Decapitated drummer Witold “Vitek” Kieltyka and put vocalist Adrian “Covan” Kowanek into a coma. We received an update on Covan’s condition earlier this year, but his progress is slow. The metal community will continue to feel the loss of a great drummer in Vitek and will continue to hope for the recovery of a superb vocalist in Covan. Decapitated lives on, but the inimitable energy and expertise these two musicians provided the band remains a memory.
