Why You Gotta Be Like That, Scotti Hill?

Last week, former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach hung out with one of that band’s guitar players, Dave “Snake” Sabo, for the first time in more than fifteen years; Baz subsequently said that “It was great to talk with Dave about the past… And the future,” which is about as blatant an implication that they discussed a Skid Row reunion as is possible.

But now here comes Skid Row’s other guitar player, Scotti Hill (who apparently looks like “The Trickster” from the movie Brainscan now), to shit all over our dreams of a reunion with Baz. He recently told The Monkey Business Show podcast:

“Hey, man, I thought those guys looked adorable together; they would have made a cute couple. They ran into each other and took a picture together, and I would have done the same thing. I mean, I spoke to Sebastian earlier this year; there was just no way to take a picture of it. And we talked about something non-band-related. It was cool catching up, and I’m sure it was cool for those guys, too. So it wasn’t any surprise to me, and I also wasn’t surprised about the hype over it and everybody going crazy about the future and all that stuff.

“Hey, man, the future is we’re going in to record some new Skid Row in November next month, man. With [current, far shittier Skid Row singer] Johnny Solinger, of course. So I don’t have a scoop for you, man. Sorry!”

Of course, it’s possible Hill is just trying to throw everyone off the scent while the details of the reunion (e.g., the financial agreements) are finalized; in hindsight, it’s also possible that Baz brought up a reunion, Sabo humored him, and Baz ran with it, or that Baz was really just looking for publicity. In other words… yeah I guess we have no idea. I’d certainly feel better if Hill hadn’t ruled out a reunion, though.
