Shadows Fall and God Forbid’s Tour Bus Catches Fire

First, the bad news: Shadows Fall and God Forbid have been sharing a tour bus while on the MetalSucks-sponsored Party to the Apocalypse Tour (along with Thy Will Be Done and Trumpet the Harlot, who are travelling separately), and late last night, that bus caught fire (see above photo, tweeted by Corey Pierce from God Forbid).

Now, the good news: no one was hurt! From the Facebook page of Shads drummer Jason Bittner:

“attn: everyone, apparently our bus caught fire – everyone is fine, I repeat fine, its no big deal, I was in my hotel room sick the whole time and had no clue, so please all well wishers be known its no biggie, we’re good.”

Which is obviously a relief! And it doesn’t appear as though the bands are going to miss any performances on the tour, so that’s a double phew!

You may recall that there was a similar incident in Europe with Between the Buried and Me and Periphery’s tour bus just a few weeks ago. Tour buses are goddamn scary. Just another reason I’m a blogger and not in a band. It may be weeks before anyone notices I’m missing and finds my body, but at least my death will come from an accidental overdose of prescription medications and not spontaneous combustion.
