Watch Pig Destroyer’s Entire Set From Our CMJ Showcase!!!
This past Thursday night was the (ahem) completely sold out third annual MetalSucks/Metal Injection/1000 Knives CMJ showcase, headlined by the mighty Pig Destroyer, playing their first show in the New York area in more than three years. We knew it was gonna be a good show because — and I’ve honestly never seen this happen before — when Pig Destroyer were doing their soundcheck, the room just came to a halt and watched them. No one talked, no one loaded in gear or set up merch, no one went outside for a smoke… everyone just stood there, hypnotized (never has a musician been asking for the on-stage monitors to be adjusted been so enthralling). But to say that PxDx (and killer support bands KEN Mode, Early Graves, and Encrust, for that matter) destroyed it would be an understatement. They played for close to an hour, every single second of which was pure insanity.
