I TRIED TO WARN YOU (PART 2)

According to a new interview with Dez Fafara on Michigan’s WGRD 97.9 FM (below), Coal Chamber have begun to write new music.

You have my permission to start pulling your hair out and screaming in terror now.

I guess if I wanted to be optimistic, I’d point out that Fafara concedes that he doesn’t know yet if the band will actually record a new album or not, but… let’s be real, the band is going to record a new album. It’s inevitable. Like sharks drawn to blood in the water, Coal Chamber are drawn to potential t-shirt sales. They’re not Faith No More, Carcass, or At the Gates — they won’t be able to keep this reunion going for years on end with no new material — and so the band that unleashed “Loco” upon the world will have a new single called “Estúpido” or “Heces” or whatever. Just you wait. You think you know you pain? You don’t know pain. Coal Chamber are gonna make you beg for death. Start settling your affairs. The end is near.
