WANNA HEAR FOUR NEW SONGS FROM MY DYING BRIDE?
Today sees the release of A Map of All Our Failures, the eleventh (!) studio album from legendary UK dons of doom, My Dying Bride. And while the band seems to be foregoing the de rigeur full-album stream thing, our pals at The Deciblog are now streaming the first four tracks from the album — which is still almost thirty minutes of music!
Here’s Decibel‘s Chris Dick’s description of the tracks, which is far more eloquent than anything I could write about ’em:
“These tunes of torment are very much in line with what we’ve come to expect from My Dying Bride of late. Slow melancholic guitar lines, paired up solemn violin lines, a tempered tempo and, of course, frontman Aaron Stainthorpe’s tragic tales brought to life by his withering, sometimes vicious vocals.”
If you’re already down with My Dying Bride, well… hopefully you bought this mofo already. But if you’re not, Failures is indeed a terrific entry point from which to get into the band.
Listen here. A Map of All Our Failures is out now on Peaceville.
