THIS IS THE NEW MANOWAR ALBUM ART? GEEZ, I NEVER WOULDA GUESSED
Earlier this year, Manowar released their new album, Lord of Steel, in the UK via Metal Hammer — but the accompanying album art was totally boring, and not at all the “MANOWAR KILLS POSERS WITH STEEL!”-esque album art we’ve come to expect from this band.
Luckily, Manowar knows that ‘Mericans won’t stand for that pussy shit, and so for the official Stateside release later this month, the band has commissioned artist Ken Kelly to squeeze as many metal clichés onto one album cover as possible: there’s a volcano mid-eruption, demons, weapons still dripping with blood, chains, spikes, leather, snakes, skeletons, a kneeling army, not a woman in sight, and lightning and fire, because only a FALSES would ever settle for lightning or fire. EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT, CRYSTAL VIPER!
Manowar’s The Lord of Steel comes out October 19, because none of Manowar’s post-menopausal fanbase knows they could have downloaded it at any time following its British release.
