EVAN BREWER IS WORKING ON ANOTHER SOLO BASS ALBUM
An entire album consisting entirely of bass might not exactly be easy listening, but it’s still an interesting concept with potential and I’m fascinated by the idea. So it oughtta excite music dorks the world over — as it does this music dork — to learn that bassist Evan Brewer, who also plays in The Faceless, will be releasing his second solo bass album at some point in the not-too-distant future. Here’s footage of Brewer previewing a few tracks from that record in a video he shot for Warwick Basses:
For what it’s worth it sounds like there are some discernible and catchy hooks here, so maybe this time around it’ll be a little easier to appreciate a solo bass album as more than just a proof of concept. No word yet on a release date, but presumably the album will come out through Sumerian Records.
