Twin-cities Sumeriancore pioneers After the Burial kinda lost me with their most recent album, In Dreams. It’s not that it was bad, it just didn’t have DOSE RIFFS or hooks that made 2008’s Rareform so awesome, knowwhatimean?
So thankfully this orchestral cover arranged by BitBrain is of Rareform track “Berzerker.” It’s not too surprising that an After the Burial track works well when arranged for a full orchestra — their music is fairly complex and cinematic to begin with — but this version is executed particularly well.
