LET’S SMASH A F*CKING HIVE (OR MASH MULTIPLE HIVES, YOUR CHOICE)

I wasn’t familiar with Massachusetts grind quintet Hivesmasher* before yesterday, when it was announced that they’ve signed with Black Market Activities — but I’ll be paying close attention to them from now on.

They have a new song, “En Route to Meat Land,” streaming over at Lambgoat, and not only does the track have a great title — it’s also top notchy, tech-infused grind of the highest order. Forget going to Meat Land; the track might be more aptly called “Trapped in a Meat Grinder with Serrated Edges and Oh My God It Hurts, It Hurts, Please Kill Me Now, Oh God it Hurts!” If this is what it feels like just to GET to Meat Land, how brutal must live be once you’re actually, like, IN Meat Land?
