NEW VISION OF DISORDER VIDEO = YOU’RE MOSHING!

In case you haven’t heard, the legendary Long Island hardcore pioneers VISION OF DISORDER are back in full effect, with a new album in works (and even quoted me in the press release announcing it). With any recently-reunited 90s band, you have to look toward their new material with a mix of excitement and trepidation: excitement because you hope it as good as you remember their old shit being, trepidation because you know that it is 99% likely that it won’t be and you will turn it off after 10 seconds and be bummed out for the rest of the day.

But that is definitely not the case with VOD, whose new song is fucking sweet and recalls the best of all their various incarnations: the nu-metally moshcore of the green drop album, the unhinged withdrawal-driven chaos of ‘Imprint’, the ALICEINCHAINSCORE-meets-GODSMACKCORE of ‘From Bliss To Devastation’ and hard rock grooves that bring to mind BLOODSIMPLE’s best moments. The video itself is a little sad (was it filmed after closing time at a laser tag arena?) but hey, nobody bats a thousand.
