NSFWATCH: STEEL PANTHER CONCERT DVD’S NIPLESS FIRST CLIP, BONUS BOOBZ
This week Steel Panther’s sexciting concert DVD/Blu-ray The British Invasion got a release date in pssht Australia and New Zealand (September 28, which due to the time difference occurs on North America’s March 17 or something). That’s cool I guess cuz with the announcement comes its first full clip, a late-set performance of “Party All Day (Fuck All Night)” (above). The band sounds killer; I always love Michael Starr’s live twist on the “Or you’re gonna get V.D.” line, as it’s reminiscent of Sammy Hagar’s way of singing “You’ll lose her in that turn” in “Panama” by Van Halen. So that’s tasty.
But gosh I fear that the director of Steel Panther: The British Invasion is a weirdo cuz right away there’s a kinda gross shot (at 0:47 – 0:50) and and AND how else can we explain the total lack of boob-zooms into the sluttier sections of the audience? Maybe it was a lighting issue, but c’mon braj, shots of naked knockerz are required in the interest of accuracy (Steel Panther + juggz is like Axl Rose + ring-dings) and probably would not harm sales: Panther’s June 9 Download Festival footage of the same song was like 35% sportingly-bared jammerz — and that video is now at like 3.5 million views. I’m no scientist but this seems like basic cause-and-effect stuff. In fact, let’s just practice what we preach and include that festival of funbagz right here lol:
