QUICKSAND ON JIMMY FALLON

They’re here, finally! After performing a surprise set in L.A. in June, the reunited Quicksand announced a show in their hometown of NYC. That show, which is tomorrow, quickly sold out, so they added another the night after. And since they’re already here for a few days, hey, why not play on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on national TV in front of the entire country?

It’s funny how time away really does make the heart grow fonder bands bigger; I don’t know what kind of numbers Quicksand were pulling back in the day, but I’m pretty sure they couldn’t sell out back-to-back nights in NYC when the best TV show gig they could land was The Jon Stewart Show. We’re not talking Faith No More levels of cvlt favorites to festival headliners here, but it’s quite impressive nonetheless.
