MATT PIKE IS OUT OF REHAB AND “FERTILE”

Now that Matt Pike has completed alcohol rehabilitation, does that mean he can’t get high anymore? I’ve encountered people who don’t drink and have gone completely clean and people for whom “clean” is a relative term, so I honestly don’t know the answer in Pike’s case. But he’s still in a band with the word “high” in the name (and not simply as a reference to height), and now the band has celebrated his rehab conclusion by releasing a new video, “Fertile Green,” which, without a doubt, was intended to be watched by people who have recently smoked marijuana.

That’s (obviously) not intended as a criticism at all — this video is AWESOME. It was directed by Doomsday Entertainment’s Phil Mucci, and he absolutely hit a grand slam with this one. Matt Pike is really two for two this week. Light one up and check it out:

I like this video so much that I now propose we use the term “get fertile” as a synonym for “get high.” Who’s with me???
