KEEP THE CAR RUNNING! THE CHARIOT HAVE A NEW SONG
The Chariot have debuted a new song called “In,” and, yes, it totally fucking rocks and is excellent way to kick off your morning. There’s a lot to digest here from an aural standpoint — The Chariot don’t exactly write “traditionalist” music, y’know? — but right now, I’m really fixated on the last lyric of the song: “Keep the car running!”
I’m not quite sure why I’m so amused by that phrase… sometimes certain phrases or deliveries of phrases just tickle me, like the way Bane says the words “…and we give it back to you!” in The Dark Knight Rises (I feel like it should be preceded by the line “We take the savings…”). But I suspect I’ll be screaming “Keep the car running!” at befuddled/irritated friends for the next several weeks, and in the interest of blindly following me, I suggest you do the same. If enough of us do it, maybe some of those friends will even buy The Chariot’s new album, One Wing. I mean probably not, but hey, times are tough, bands can use all the promotional assistance they can get.
Keep the car running here. One Wing which comes out August 28 on eOne/Good Fight.
