CALL MARK MORTON MAYBE

As much as I would love for Mark Morton to be behind the latest incarnation of “Call Me Maybe,” my headline is actually a reference to “Maybe,” a song Morton has recorded with Matt Conner of RPG/Corntooth, and is now giving away for free right here.

Like “To Make Sure,” the free song Morton released last month, “Maybe” isn’t metal in the slightest — but it is really good. It’s a melancholy country song… and I mean country in the true sense of the genre, not in the Garth Brooks sense of that country-pop-rock drek.
