I ACTUALLY LIKE THE ALBUM ART FOR THIS OR THE APOCALYPSE’S DEAD YEARS
I’m not a fan of This or The Apocalypse, but I do really dig the album art for their forthcoming release, Dead Years. I’m not sure I understand the meaning of the symbolism (Why are the people’s eyes covered? Are they trying to say something about running blindly in times of fear?), but the whole thing has a weird children’s coloring book vibe (assuming that children’s coloring book was depicting scenes from the old, ultraviolent Mars Attacks! comics, that is) about it that I think it actually pretty unique amongst metal album covers. It’s also pretty rare to see band use so much pink and have it work so well, but it’s totally perfect here. Check it out below:
Dead Years comes out September 24 via Lifeforce in Europe and eOne in North America.
