GOJIRA ADD DETROIT AND SECOND NYC DATES TO AUGUST HEADLINE RUN

Earlier this week Gojira announced a series of five headline dates hastily booked to surround their appearances at three festivals in August — Heavy MTL, Heavy TO and the Wisconsin/Minnesota Knotfest — following the cancelation of their tour with Lamb of God and Dethklok. Two more shows have just been added to the run.

With one NYC date on August 9th previously announced, a second was rumored for the 14th in Brooklyn but never confirmed. That second NYC show for August 14th has now been officially announced, although it’ll be at the intimate Webster Hall Studio in Manhattan instead of the much spacier Music Hall of Williamsburg across the East River. Tickets are on sale now for 16 bucks. An August 15th date in Pontiac, MI (near Detroit) at The Crofoot’s Pike Room has also been announced; get tickets here. Car Bomb will open both dates. Man, that overnight drive from NYC to Detroit is going to SUCK.

I think I might have to cancel my plans on the 14th despite already having bought tickets for the 9th… two Gojira headline shows in one week!! One is rare enough, so how can I afford to miss any of this??

Seriously, folks, if you live anywhere near any of these shows cancel any plans you’ve got and find a way to go. You may never have a chance to see Gojira in venues this small ever again.
