BUT… DESTINY POTATO AREN’T A VEST METAL BAND???

Vest Metal might be the next big thing, but apparently djent isn’t dead quite yet.

Nearly a year ago I proclaimed that “Djent Is Now Pop” with a link to an obscure band with the dumb name Destiny Potato. Now Century Media has signed that band.

To be clear, Destiny Potato are not a bad band at all. “Dark Side Of You,” posted below, is actually pretty catchy. It’s just… meh. This style of metal has peaked. It’s not interesting anymore. But I guess Century Media has to find way to pay for their “gas and groceries” now that they’re losing CD sales by the truckload with all their artists on Spotify.

Oh well. Keep calm, carry on. If Destiny Potato blow up and continue to allow Century to sign bands like Twilight, all’s good.
