ARE STAM1NA REALLY JUST SINGING IN ENGLISH?

They’re not — they’re singing in Finnish, which is their native tongue. But this hilarious new video for their song “Rabies” — which was apparently made by Joe Barresi, who produced the band’s new album Nocebo (read our review here) — proposes that the group’s lyrics are, in fact English… just sung really fast.

It’s basically the same joke as some viral videos that were popular about five years ago, which took advantage of the fact that it’s hard to understand screamed lyrics to propose that, for example, Trivium were yelling about “the way you piss” on “Pull Harder On the Strings of Your Martyr” (the lyric is actually “it’s time that we end this”). Still, the gag continues to tickle me. Check it out:
