GWAR GOODNESS: ODERUS REVIEWS HELLYEAH FOR DECIBEL, BAND ANNOUNCES TOUR WITH DEVILDRIVER, CANCER BATS, AND LEGACY OF DISORDER
Here’s not one but two gems for all of our fellow Gwar fans. First, vocalist Oderus Urungus, who is Hellyeah’s biggest fan, reviews that band’s new album, Band of Brothers, in the September 2012 issue of Decibel. And, yes, it’s just as awesome as it sounds. Here’s a sample:
“When you get albums to review, it is often a struggle to get the full lyrics to the music, which always annoys me… I never did get the full lyrics to this one, but if I have to go by the assumption that the rest of the lyrics are as horrible as the ones I can make out, I have to assume the reason they didn’t send the lyrics is because they are so fucking stupid they don’t want anyone to know about them.”
A++++ WDBWA. Order yourself a copy of the issue here.
Meanwhile, the band has announced their latest headlining trek, and, as usual, they’ve secured some killer groups to play support — in this instance, DevilDriver, Cancer Bats, and Legacy of Disorder. Does Gwar ever take shitty bands out on the road with them — and, if not, how do they avoid it? While you ponder that, dates are after the jump. These are in addition to Gwar-B-Q, which takes place on August 18 at Hadad’s Lake in Richmond, VA!
