You had to figure that Geoff Tate’s recent Rolling Stone rant against his ex-bandmates in Queensryche was partially delusional, or at least grossly one-sided, right? The remaining members of the band — Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Parker Lundgren — have finally spit back at Tate via an official court declaration intended to block Tate’s request to stop his ex-pals from using the “Queensryche” name. And holy shit, is it ever juicy!

Accusations of Tate systematically installing his wife as the band’s manager and rejecting any writing contributions from his bandmates; outright blaming Tate for reduced album sales; saying Tate negotiated a development deal for a movie based on Operation: Mindcrame without notifying the band AND keeping the entire six-figure advance for himself… and we’re just scratching the surface.
