HAVOK ALSO OFF SHOCKWAVE, TOUR WILL ONLY FEATURE THREE BANDS?

Earlier today we got word that Voivod have dropped off this summer’s Shockwave package tour, joining an additional four bands that had already fallen off the bill a couple of weeks ago. Now reader Patrick Haines has sent us the following Facebook exchange with Havok drummer Pete Webber:

Assuming Webber’s assertion is accurate, well… Fear Factory, Cattle Decapitation, and Misery Index is actually still a pretty good tour. Of course, that’s not gonna stop anyone from wondering why the heck the other eight bands that were initially announced will no longer be part of the trek. Other mysteries to ponder: Why were Havok “forced” to drop off? Will this change the ticket price? What about the size of the venues where the shows are booked? Will fans who thought they were buying tickets to a big festival show be allowed refunds now that it’s just a regular (albeit very strong) tour? And what the fuck was going on in Prometheus? Okay, that last one might not actually have anything to do with this other stuff.
