VIDEO: MARTY FRIEDMAN HELPS KERRY KING JAM ON HIS FIVE FAVORITE RIFFS

So as you may be aware, a little while ago, the Coca-Cola Company purchased Marty Friedman and re-located him to Japan to make him a spokesperson for Fanta. Lucky for Marty, though, in Japan, Jews are considered very tall. And so the strange white man was treated like a god, and given his own television program.

And he recently had none other than Mr. Kerry King from Slayer on that program! Then he asked King for his five favorite riffs of all time, and then they jammed. Yes, it is as fun as it sounds. Watching Friedman tear it up over “Raining Blood” is especially satisfying — it may be the first time I’ve ever heard a solo over that song that’s actually, like, comprehensible notes and stuff. The canned applause is also… interesting. Oh, those wacky Asians.
