GET READY FOR SACRUM PROFANUM: THE NERGAL STORY

It feels like it’s been a minute since there have been any really interesting metal-related books. So now we can all begin to get excited about this little bit of news: Nergal tells Terrorizer that he’s begun work on his autobiography, Sacrum Profanum, which I think means “Sacred Profanity,” although it’s been like twenty years since I’ve had a Latin lesson so lay the fuck off me.

What’s really interesting is that the Behemoth front man says the book will read “like a really long in-depth interview.” I’m not sure if that means that someone is interviewing him for the purposes of publishing in book form — kind of like the Saturday Night Live tell-all, Live from New York — or if Nergal is doing something kinda nutty, like writing in a stream-of-consciousness format or, um, interviewing himself. But one way or the other, I anticipate a fun read.

Apparently Group 13, who produced such Behemoth videos as “Ov Fire and the Void,” are making promotional videos for the book. So, if nothing else, those should look cool.

There’s no release date yet, but we’ll let you know when there is.
