AGALLOCH ANNOUNCE MORE U.S. TOUR DATES, NEW EP RELEASE
UPDATE, 6/13, 6pm EDT: According to comments left below (allegedly quoting Agalloch bandmembers, although we can’t confirm it), the physical versions of the new EP will also be available directly from the band via mailorder once the tour ends.

Agalloch already promised to make our summer a whole lot more wintery with a string of summer U.S. tour they announced last month, but July and August just got a whole lot more cold and blustery in the Northern Hemisphere: a bunch of dates have been added to the now 31-day trek, making this the first time I can remember (possibly ever?) the band has done a full, proper U.S. tour instead of a short string of dates in one region at a time. Support on the trek will come from Taurus (featuring Dark Castle’s Stevie Floyd and former Purple Rhinestone Eagle member Ashley Spungin) with special local openers in select cities, including Pallbearer, Eight Bells, Author & Punisher and Musk Ox. Where no local openers are selected, Agalloch will play for 120 minutes — wow!!
If the opportunity to see Agalloch live doesn’t get you all excitebike in your nethers, how about this: the band will be releasing the Faustian Echoes EP they recently finished recording this summer as well. The EP will be released through the band’s own Dammerung Arts label; it will be streaming online and available digitally, but the only place to get the CD or vinyl version will be at the shows. Where we’re sure they’re gonna sell out super-quick and end up on eBay for hundreds immediately thereafter.
