PURIFIED IN BLAH
A reader named Fritz sent us a link to the below video, for Purified in Blood’s “Mot Grov” (“At the Grave”), and said that he hopes “these Norwegian COREsters get the recognition they deserve.” And I think Fritz is being sincere — I don’t think he meant “COREsters” as an insult. In his defense, I don’t think English is Fritz’s first language. Maybe “core” means “incredibly great” in Norway.
ANYWAY, Purified in Blood. They apparently had the bright idea to sound exactly like At the Gates. How novel! But you might really dig this if you just got into metal last Tuesday.
Thanks, Fritz.
Update, 12:40 pm: I didn’t even recognize Kvelertak’s Erlend Hjelvik in there! Oh well. They can’t all be grand slams.
