MACHINE HEAD COVERED FOO FIGHTERS AND SYSTEM OF A DOWN
So you know how like once ever bagillion years Anthrax play a “secret show” as a a “cover band” called Satan’s Lounge Act? Well, Machine Head kinda do the same thing; their “cover band” moniker is Ten Ton Hammer. So if anyone ever asks you if you wanna go see a Machine Head cover band called Ten Ton Hammer, the answer is “Duh.”
ANYWAY, Machine Head as Ten Ton Hammer played in London a few nights ago, and in addition to covering a bunch of metal songs that you’d expect a band like Machine Head to cover (Maiden, Metallica, Pantera, etc.), they covered “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters and “Sad Statue” by System of a Down. Which are hard rock/metal songs, sure, but are not really in the vein of what Machine Head normally do. So, y’know. Maybe you’ll find this interesting or whatever.
Quality of the video ain’t that great, but here’s the Foo Fighters jam…
…and the SOAD cover is after the jump.
