TWO PIECES OF NEWS BOTH AT LEAST KIND OF PERTAINING TO SLIPKNOT

I wanna slit your throat and fuck the wound, I wanna reach right in and tell you two things that both concern either Slipknot or members of Slipknot:

1. Slipknot have announced a festival of their very own, called Knotfest. It’s knot (rimshot!) gonna be a traveling festival like Mayhem, which Slipknot are already headlining, but a weekend thing, like Metallica’s Orion + More Festival, only without all the pussy bands and antiquing opportunities and what have you. Day One will be at the Mid America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, IA, and will star Slipknot, Deftones, Lamb of God, Dethklok, Serj Tankian, The Urge, Prong, and Dirtfedd; Day Two will be at the Somerset Amphitheater in Somerset, WI, and will star Slipknot, Deftones, Lamb of God, Dethklok, Serj Tankian, Cannibal Corpse, Gojira, and The Dillinger Escape Plan. So Day One’s line-up is actually pretty good, and Day Two’s line-up is GREAT. Holy crap, I’d go to that show. There will also be circus shit and amusement park shit and other kinds of shitty shit. 2. Rachel Bolan from Skid Row is going to play bass on the new Stone Sour album. That’s not really a good enough reason to care about the new Stone Sour album, unless they’re also letting him write all the songs, which I don’t think they are, and even if they were, it probably wouldn’t matter because all the post-Sebastian Bach Skid Row albums suck anyway. But on the plus side, it does mean that Rachel Bolan is still alive.
