GET DOWN WITH “THE MISFORTUNE TELLER”

Down performed a new song called “The Misfortune Teller” in Asheville, NC earlier this week, thus marking the first, and presumably last, time I have ever wished I lived in Asheville, NC. Luckily, there’s video of the tune, natch. It sounds pretty rocking, also natch. But it also confirms, triple natch, that Phil Anselmo is one of the best front men of all time. After all, can you recall another incident where a vocalist stopped a show ’cause he was dissatisfied with the amount of headbanging in the crowd? No? Yeah me neither.

“The Misfortune Teller” will presumably appear on Down’s new EP, which should be out later this year.
