WHEN MEMBERS OF ARCH ENEMY AND SOILWORK FORM A DAD ROCK BAND
“West Ruth Ave” might be the single catchiest song I’ve heard all year. No joke, this is like beyond Gotye levels of catchy! I’m hooked.
The song is by The Night Flight Orchestra, the new “classic rock” band featuring vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid from Soilwork and bassist Sharlee D’Angelo from Arch Enemy. It’s cool to hear Strid’s voice in a non-metal context; he sounds just as good and distinctive. And the band is absolutely slammin’.
I dare you not to bop your head and resist the urge to dance to the sweet, almost disco-like grooves of the song posted on Coroner Records’ Facebook page; you’ve got to give them a “Like,” which is annoying, but it’s worth it, promise. Internal Affairs comes out on June 8th and is available for pre-order now.
