TWO FUN “TOP ___” METAL LISTS TO ARGUE OVER!

Nothing makes for great arguing and Internet name-calling quite like a good LIST, and today we’ve got two excellent ones for you!

The L.A. Weekly blog, which has been doing a great job of covering metal of late, has released a “Top Ten Metal Frontmen and Frontwomen Under 30” list, ala the “Top 30 Under 30” and “Top 40 Under 40” lists reputable mags like Time and Forbes issue yearly. Some of the picks are deserved and some just make for great arguing, but mostly they all just make me feel old. Sigh.

Meanwhile, Metal Insider’s list du jour finds the site looking back on the “Top 5 Disappointing Albums From Great Bands.” None of their picks are really going to surprise you, but they’re all right on the money. I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but I’ve never listened to Celtic Frost’s Cold Lake; should I, just to say I did? Anyone out there actually think it’s good?
