Only listen to this song if you are a very good musician!!! If you play one of those old-school guitars with 6 strings it probably will not make sense to you!
u can tell these guys ‘rly know a lot about music’ because this song has a lot of parts where one guitarist is playing a low, djenty part and the other guy is playing a skronky part that sounds like someone one brushed up against the nut of his guitar. If u play it for someone who does not know about music they will be liek ‘wtf that sounds like a shit, turn it off.’ But if someone hears it and they are like ‘wow that is really original bc it defies conventional notions of melody and they are exploring teh use of dissonance’ then u can tell they know whats up because in this genre it’s not important if ‘regular people get it.’ That is why this band is not very popular, but IMO music can be good even if nobody likes it!
Also, I think its good that they are an American band because we have a tax code that helps entrepreneurs like them. For example if they lived in a Communist country like Russia, Canada or China they would have to pay taxes on every note they played and every string on their guitars– they would be out of business by the time they got to the chorus!! (if there was actually a chorus). Or if they were from a country like Europe that hates business/job creation, they would have to pay royalties on all of the cliches in this video: grassy field, Orange amps, ‘hot bish’ doing something ambiguous, and crabcore squats to name just a few. Instead of reusing a perfectly good video concept that has worked for dozens of other bands they would have to think up a whole new one!!
