LISTEN TO THE NEW DAWNBRINGER
Also, how awesome is Christina Casperson’s album art?!?!
Dawnbringer’s last album, Nucleus, was one of my favorites of 2010, and when they released a new track called “III” from their forthcoming Into the Lair of the Sun God last month, Vince referred to them as “Vest Metal done right,” which is high praise indeed. My point being: this band is good, and if for some reason you’re not paying attention to ’em, you need to be.
And here’s a good opportunity to get on board: Invisible Oranges is now streaming another new Sun God track, “VII.” It’s a slower jam than “III,” but it’s still pretty sweet — it’s got a catchy, head-bobbin’ groove, and its debut on IO is appropriate, since it’s pretty much guaranteed to make you wanna contort your hands into the shape of that oh-so-metal fruit. It’s also catchy as hell, which never hurts.
