PATTON OSWALT TAKES ON AXL ROSE

Patton Oswalt is one of my favorite stand-up comedians working today, and with recent performances in films like Big Fan and Young Adult, he’s proven himself to be talented semi-dramatic actor as well.

So imagine my delight over the weekend when, while watching Oswalt’s new stand-up special, Finest Hour, I saw a bit on Axl Rose’s now-infamous performance at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards. Sure, the whole thing was ten years ago, and making fun of the fact that Axl got winded is kinda old hat — but Oswalt, genius that he is, still found a way to make the material funny. Check it out:
