FOOTAGE FROM THE GOLDEN GODS: TRIVIUM COVERS METALLICA WITH MEMBERS OF SLIPKNOT AND MACHINE HEAD, MARILYN MANSON JAMS WITH JOHNNY DEPP AND TAYLOR MOMSEN
Speaking of the Golden Gods Awards: as part of the show, Trivium covered Metallica’s “Creeping Death” for the second time in a week, only in this instance they did it with Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Machine Head’s Robb Flynn, not the douche chills in Motionless in White. So, needless to say, this was was a million times better:
Meanwhile, Marilyn Manson’s contribution to the evening was to perform “The Dope Show” with Taylor Momsen (who was five when the song was released) from The Pretty Reckless, and “The Beautiful People” and “Sweet Dreams” with Johnny Depp (who also appears on Manson’s new album). Depp even got his new buddy, Damien Echols from The West Memphis Three, to introduce Manson:
