“REVERSE INVERTED”: NEW SONG REIGNITES TORCHE
In all honesty, I ultimately found Torche’s last release, Songs for Singles, to be kind of underwhelming — especially coming on the heels of 2008’s excellent Meanderthal. But the band has just unveiled “Reverse Inverted,” a fuzzy, weedy new song from their forthcoming Harmonicraft, and it’s the first thing I’ve heard from the album. So, terrific news: “Inverted” is so big, fun, and friggin’ catchy that I immediately like it about a gajillion times more than anything from Singles. No joke, I just listened to it three times in a row. So, yeah, I’m pretty into it. Consider me now 100% more excited for Harmonicraft.
(Side note: this is turning out to be a crazy good week for new music, isn’t it?)
Stream “Reverse Inverted” here, then discuss in the comments section below. Harmonicraft comes out April 24 via Volcom.
